Mission Viejo: Life Skills for Kids-Foundations
At The Etiquette Factory, we go beyond teaching surface-level behaviors, we focus on building strong character and lifelong social skills. Children don't just learn what to do, they learn why it matters. When a child understands how their actions impact others, manners become authentic, not forced.
Our Life Skills for Kids: "Foundations" program is where it all begins. Children build strong manners, character, and social skills, setting them up for success in school, friendships, and everyday life. Through interactive games, role play, hands-on activities, meaningful discussions, engaging stories, and real-world scenarios, children gain a deeper understanding of integrity, kindness, and how their actions impact others.
Topics include introductions, dining etiquette, kindness, tact, communication, being a great guest, sharing and borrowing, and sincere apologies, along with many other everyday skills that help children treat others with respect and feel confident in any setting.
These essential life skills empower children to navigate friendships, family relationships, school environments, and future professional settings with confidence and respect. By developing strong manners, children also build empathy, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness, qualities that shape who they become, not just how they behave.
At its core, The Etiquette Factory is about more than etiquette, it's about developing character, strengthening social skills, and preparing children to positively impact the world around them.

Hi my name is Amy Pikula, I have a Bachelors Degree in the Art of Education and I am currently working on my Masters in Elementary Education. I am happy to be joining the team at the Etiquette Factory. We define manners as helping those around you to feel valued. I believe that as we use manners we can show others respect and develop meaningful friendships. "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." -Aristotle
