Ladera Ranch: Life Skills-American Dining Etiquette (Charter Funds Accepted)
At The Etiquette Factory, we go beyond teaching surface-level behaviors, we focus on building strong character and lifelong social skills. Children don't just learn what to do, they learn why it matters. When a child understands how their actions impact others, manners become authentic, not forced.
Our Life Skills: American Dining Etiquette class is an exciting 2 hour class, focused on the American Style of Dining.
Your child will learn the basics of American Style of Dining in fun and interactive ways.
Through discussion, role play, games, and fun competitions, your child will learn lessons including:
1. Proper Place Setting
2. Proper use of Table Linens
3. Napkin Folding Options
4. Roll Play of a complete dining experience
This class is perfect right before the holidays or special events and will include 2 hours of instruction and the Etiquette Factory
"Set-Right" Placemat for your child to take home.
This is one of our most enjoyed classes, by both parents and students who enroll in our programs.

My name is Carolina Umana and I’ve been teaching locally for close to 30 years.
I have worked as a fine art teacher, leading/teaching courses in Spanish, etiquette, art, music, and piano privately and in schools. Specifically to etiquette, I was privately taught by my mother but also studied under Mrs. Chen who provided an in depth finishing school etiquette program. My family operated a Fine Art Academy for many years. I have also taught elementary and junior high/highschool. At university, I majored in History & English. I love children and I enjoy spending time sharing my knowledge and strengths.
